ChristieCare offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package to our employees, which is designed to support our employees and their families in maintaining health, wellness and a balanced lifestyle. Our benefits include:
Group Insurance Plans
Medical
ChristieCare offers a health plan that provides for comprehensive hospital and major medical insurance coverage. ChristieCare contributes 100% of premium for all eligible employees. Employees may purchase dependent coverage at an additional cost. Vision coverage is provided under the medical plan.
Dental
ChristieCare participates in a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan. Treatment or service for dental benefits is payable under three categories (units): Preventive Procedures, Basic Procedures, and Major Procedures.
Short Term Disability
Full time employees having completed six months of employment are eligible for Short Term Disability (STD) benefits after seven consecutive days of unpaid absence from work.
Long Term Disability
Full time employees having completed six months of employment are eligible for Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits after 180 days of disability.
Life Insurance
ChristieCare provides life insurance to employees in benefited positions equal to two times their annual salary up to a maximum of $200,000.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment
The plan covers immediate traumatic physical damage to an employee that results directly from an unexpected and unintentional event.
Retirement
ChristieCare provides a Defined Contribution Pension Plan to all eligible employees to help provide for the future financial security of our employees and their families.
Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA)
ChristieCare offers employees the opportunity to participate in a Tax-Deferred Annuity. Employee contributions to a TDA are made from pre-tax salary gross earnings through payroll deduction.
Flexible Spending Account Plan (FSA)
Employees may contribute up to $5,000 per year to a Dependent Care FSA to pay for eligible dependent care expenses, and up to $2,500 annually to a Health Care FSA to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses, such as co-pays and deductibles. Contributions to FSA plans are deducted before taxes, which lowers taxable income and, as a result, increases take-home pay. Participating in FSA plans can result in considerable tax savings for those with high dependent care or out-of-pocket health care expenses.
Employee Assistance Program
ChristieCare recognizes that life is full of challenges and surprises. To support employees during those times, ChristieCare offers an Employee Assistance Program that provides services to help better understand and cope with those concerns.
Personal Time Off (PTO)
Eligible ChristieCare employees have a single account of PTO, or a “PTO bank,“ instead of separate accruals of vacation, holidays, and personal/sick leave.
Education Assistance
Full and part-time employees in a benefited position, who have worked for ChristieCare at least one year, are eligible for education assistance.
Auto-Deposit
ChristieCare provides, through electronic funds transfer, the opportunity for employees to have their payroll checks safely deposited directly to their checking or savings accounts.
